Edson Arantes do Nascimento famously known as Pelé died at the age of 82 after a long battle with cancer. His daughter Kely Nascimento recently posted on Instagram conforming death of her beloved father at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in São Paulo city of Brazil. Pelé was known the greatest football player of all time by FIFA.

Pelé was diagnosed with Colon cancer since September 2021 and was in undergoing treatment. On November 2022 Pelé was admitted to São Paulo city’s Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein because of rising health issues like swelling, along with cardiac issues and serious concerns about chemotherapy not giving positive results.

Pelé was greatest Football player of all time. He was (to date) only Footballer to win 3 FIFA Worldcups( 1958, 1962 and 1970). He represented Brazil in 92 matches and scored 77 goals for his country. With 643 goals in 659 games he remains top scorer for Santos Football Club.
After his retirement from Football he was appointed UNESCO Goodwill ambassador in 1994. He was also appointed as Minister of Sports by then President Fernando Henrique Cardoso of Brazil in 1995. he also proposed a legislation which was later known as “Pelé law”. Apart from his excellent career and ambassador works he also worked a lot for charitable causes as well. He auctioned more than 1600 items of his owned during his career and raised £3.6 million for charity in 2016. He also founded his own charitable organization called “The Pelé Foundation” in 2018 who’s focus is to work for the impoverish and helpless children across the World. He also got a long list of Honors and awards from different countries, leaders and FIFA.
